G’day I’m Scott. I started at Stepping Out Podiatry at the beginning of 2019 as one of the Senior Podiatrists. I previously worked in a practice in Brisbane since I finished University in 2012, that was largely a biomechanical clinic. My passion is for biomechanics – how the foot moves in walking and running motion – and prescribing the best rehabilitation course to suit a patient’s needs and lifestyle.
I grew up in Brisbane and now live near Woodford. My partner and I have 3 boys under the age of 4 so homelife is crazy at the moment – but I love every minute.
I try and go for a run a few times a week and work on my strength and conditioning exercises daily. My back was injured a few years ago so I am very mindful of treating the body right through rehabilitation exercises so you can live a pain free day and move the way you want to move. This philosophy is what I encourage my patients to practice – however all exercises are not suitable for everyone which is where my expertise in this area helps.
I treat a lot of knee and calf injuries. Achilles Tendonitis is a condition I also often see and I am lucky at Stepping Out Podiatry that we have a variety of modalities we can treat with including Shockwave, dry needling, foam rollers and TheraBand’s.
I currently treat out of the Landsborough and Meridan Plains clinics and can’t wait to see you and help you get back to a pain free you!
